Sublimated Badges

  • Jun 2, 2015

Sublimation, what does that even mean? Well, let me tell you! The technique of sublimation takes a special printer, with special paper, to be put together on a special heat press. Sublimation works on our hardboard material, and also our aluminum. So, whether you need a metal badge or a hardboard badge, we got you covered.

The beauty about sublimation is that it gets printed, so what does that mean for you? It means easy personalization. It's being printed anyways, so you might as well stick a name on it! Something a little different is that it all needs to be printed in reverse. Like, when you look in a mirror and that person's bumper sticker doesn't make any sense? Well, if they had it printed in reverse you would be able to read it.

Sameo sameo for sublimation. The printed paper get placed on top of the material you choose and a heat plate is pressed on to it anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple minutes. Once the time is up the printing is now the right way and you have your beautiful sublimated badges! Another wonderful thing about sublimation is full-color is easy peasy.

Here is an example of sublimation:
