Personalization Tips
DIGITAL PERSONALIZATION
Name lists for digitally printed products should be sent in an Excel spreadsheet or tab-delimited text file. Each column is equal to a line of personalization. The file shown would be for a two line badge with the name on first line and title on the second line. Send an example with your artwork. Include the location type style and size of personalization. Download an Excel spreadsheet here.
Please note that we will print the text exactly as you send it. Example: PETERSON will print as shown. Double check your spelling, etc. We do not proof lists. Orders are not considered complete until the name list is received.
ENGRAVED PERSONALIZATION

Please note that we will print the text exactly as you send it. Example: pETERSON will engrave exactly as typed. Double check your spelling, etc. We do not proof name lists. Orders are not considered complete until the name list is received.

Making personalization fit your badge!
With the automation of personalization has come some additional issues that need to be addressed when ordering your personalized products. If a name and/or title is too long, what should we do? There are several options:
1. Condense the information
The choice is yours. We will discuss your options for your particular requirements. Condensing is the most popular option, since it leaves all the information intact. Note the change in readability:
2. Abbreviate parts of the information
For example a title of Vice President of Sales and Marketing could be shortened to VP of Sales & Mktg.
3. Truncate the information
Truncating your imprint will cut-off the information at the end of a line. For example if Stephanie Johnson wanted her title Vice President of Sales and Marketing on her badge. We may end cutting off many letters off her title because there isn’t sufficient room on the badge.
